Energy Efficiency Resources for Schools

Calling all K-12 Schools to Apply for the Moving to the Head of the Class Award!

The KEEA Energy Education Fund (KEEF) has been working on several projects to advance energy efficiency is Pennsylvania schools. Our most recent accomplishments include:

KEEF released "Moving to the Head of Class: An Energy Efficiency Resource Guide for Pennsylvania Schools" This guide will help schools to start benchmarking energy consumption, operate facilities more efficiently, and ultimately, redirect money from energy bills to the primary mission of schools: education.

The Resource Guide can be viewed here!

In conjunction with our award, and with a generous grant from the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, KEEF was able to create an educational video to inspire and train schools to save money on energy.

Find it here: Moving to the Head of the Class

The video features Pennsylvania's EPA ENERGY STAR partner of the year, North Penn School District!

KEEA held an award ceremony for four Pennsylvania schools that demonstrated they have made the most progress in conserving energy and engaging the educational community. This ceremony received extensive media attention and has been published across the state. Fox News also released a video clip. To view the clip, click here!
