Sustainable Energy Conference
Manage My Toolbox
The Sustainable Energy Conference is a best-in-class event that cultivates an understanding and passion for “sustainable energy” for consumers, policy makers, decision makers, professors, students, and entrepreneurs of today and tomorrow. Each workshop, panel, and seminar is taught by industry experts that balance energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Notable Pennsylvania speakers include Former Lt. Governor Mark Singel, Public Utility Commission Chairman James Cawley, Deputy Secretary of DEP Dan Griffiths, Representative Eugene DePasquale, professional trainers Bill Brooks and Mick Sangrillo, among many others. With more than a month to go before the conference, registrations have already exceeded last year’s attendance by 150%.
Due to the dynamic needs of dislocated workers, SEF has partnered with the Workforce Investment Board to distribute 1,500 free exhibit tickets, 100 green jobs training admissions, and 10 week-long sustainable scholars admissions to dislocated workers. This green jobs and home performance training was specifically added to aide those looking for careers in the new green economy. This is above and beyond the more than $240,000 in attendance scholarships already awarded to high school teachers and professors for the sustainable scholars program.
