The Technical Assistance Project (TAP), managed in part by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is offering a web seminar on how to take advantage of low-cost financing using Clean Renewable Energy Bonds (CREBs). Although the webcast is free of charge, you must register in advance in order to receive a URL for the internet connection to your desktop and a phone number for the audio. You can register online, find more information about the presenters, and access links to background materials/reports at the TAP Webcast Section of the DOE Weatherization and Intergovernmental Program website.

Claire Kreycik is an energy and financial analyst at the DOE National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Her work focuses on renewable energy project financing. Aneta Rettig of Denver Water will discuss how her department used CREBs to finance two small hydroelectric projects near Denver.

The Technical Assistance Project is designed to provide state and local officials with assistance with their renewable energy and energy efficiency policies and programs. The application process is quick and simple. Many projects begin to receive assistance within a week or two.
