Who We Are
The Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance (KEEA) is a group of businesses, organizations and agencies that are helping consumers and businesses in Pennsylvania make effective energy choices. Founded in 2007 as an ad hoc coalition, we expanded our partnership to over 65 groups, and achieved our primary goal in October 2008 – passage of Act 129 (House Bill 2200).
As of March 2010 KEEA has become a 501c3. The officers of KEEA are Liz Robinson - President, Ann Gerace - Vice President, Tom Newton - Treasurer, and Gloria Fultz - Secretary. The full Board of Directors has replaced the Steering Committee. The 501c3 status will allow KEEA to raise funds from groups that normally fund non-profits, while exploring the options and benefits for organizing a membership group as a 501c6.
With our combined expertise and history, KEEA is well positioned to provide input and education to state agencies and legislators on Act 129 implementation and other programs. As a group of primarily for-profit businesses, KEEA also understands the value of restoring economic viability to Pennsylvania. Enacting the KEEA Action Agenda will not only save money and energy, but will also create a new and vibrant sector of green collar jobs. Energy improvements require certified auditors, raters, contractors, construction workers, consultants, manufacturers and distributors in all communities. View the 2010 KEEA Action Agenda.
